Trim Level Comparison

The 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander comes in four gasoline trims and 6 hybrid trim levels. Let’s take a look at each. 

2025 Toyota Grand Highlander LE

The base level trim on the 2025 Grand Highlander is the LE trim. This trim level features the 2.4L 4-Cylinder Turbo Gasoline Engine with an available All-Wheel Drive (AWD) drivetrain. Some key features include three-row seating with fabric-trimmed seating for up to 8 passengers. You’ll get the 12.3-inch touchscreen multimedia display with wireless smartphone connectivity. Other features include 18-inch wheels, six available color options and a six-speaker audio system. 

 

2025 Toyota Grand Highlander XLE

The next trim level is the XLE trim. You’ll get the same engine and drivetrain options as the LE trim. Some key upgrades include SofTex-trimmed seating with heated power-adjustable front seats. The XLE trim offers the option for a second row bench or captain’s chairs which can accommodate 8 or 7 passengers respectively. Some other upgrades include an adjustable power liftgate with jam protection and blind spot monitor with rear-cross traffic alert. 

 

2025 Toyota Grand Highlander Limited

The Limited trim is the third trim available with the gasoline-powered drivetrain. This trim is perfect for those looking for added comfort and premium options that aren’t available on lower trim levels. For example, you’ll get leather-trimmed seating, heated and ventilated front seats, and an 11-speaker JBL Premium Audio system. You’ll still have the option for second row captain’s chairs or bench seating. On the exterior you’ll get 20-inch painted alloy wheels and a foot-activated power liftgate. 

 

2025 Toyota Grand Highlander Platinum

The highest trim level available on the gasoline-powered drivetrain is the Platinum trim level. This trim builds upon the Limited with even more premium options. Some key upgrades include a multi-select drive mode featuring mud & sand, rock & dirt, and normal modes. You’ll also get a 10-inch Head-Up Display (HUD) and Panoramic View Monitor with 360-degree Overhead View. You’ll also get a power tilt/slide panoramic roof with power sunshade. 

 

2025 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid LE

Moving on the Hybrid powertrain, the base level is again the LE trim. The drivetrain is the biggest difference here with a 2.5L Hybrid Engine that produces 245 combined horsepower. You’ll also get AWD as a standard option. On the interior you’ll get options similar to the gasoline LE trim like fabric trimmed seating with second row bench seating for up to 8 passengers. This trim comes with the 12.3-inch touchscreen display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. 

 

2025 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid XLE

The second hybrid trim is the Hybrid XLE trim level. You’ll get the same hybrid engine with available AWD drivetrain. On the interior, you’ll get the SofTex-trimmed seating with heated front seats. You’ll get the option for second row captain’s chairs or bench seating allowing for 7 to 8 passengers respectively. Other upgrades include the Smart Key System with Remote Keyless Entry, power liftgate and additional charging ports throughout the cabin. 

 

2025 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid Limited

The next trim level is the Hybrid Limited trim. You’ll get many of the same features as the gasoline Limited trim but with the fuel-efficient Hybrid powertrain. Some key upgrades include leather-trimmed seating, heated and ventilated front seats and heated second-row captain’s chairs. Some premium options include the 11-speaker JBL Premium Audio System, foot-activated power liftgate and front and rear parking assist. 

 

2025 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid Nightshade

The next trim level is the Hybrid Nightshade trim. This trim level gets some upgraded features along with unique Nightshade-specific aesthetics. On the exterior, you’ll get black front and rear lower bumpers, black-painted front hood trim, black outside door handles and a black rear spoiler. The drivetrain and many of the interior features will match those available on the Limited trim. 

 

2025 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid MAX Limited

If you are looking for more performance out of your Grand Highlander Hybrid, you may want to consider one of the two MAX trim levels. These get the upgraded Hybrid MAX 2.4L Turbo Performance engine with up to 362 combined horsepower. The Hybrid MAX Limited trim gets the 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity and the 11-speaker JBL Premium Audio system. You’ll also get leather-trimmed seating with heated and ventilated front seats as well as heated second-row captain’s chairs. 

 

2025 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid MAX Platinum

If you are looking for the highest performing and most luxurious cabin, you should opt for the Grand Highlander Hybrid MAX Platinum trim level. This trim gets the Hybrid MAX powertrain along with an upgraded interior. Some key upgrades include a 10-inch Head-Up Display, Digital Rearview Mirror and Panoramic View Monitor with 360-degree Overhead View. You’ll also get a leather-trimmed steering wheel with paddle shifters and a power tilt/slide panoramic roof with power sunshade.
