The 2025 Toyota Highlander is part of the fourth generation of Highlanders and may just be the best Highlander yet. Available Trim Levels

The 2025 Toyota Highlander comes in 10 available trim levels across its gasoline and hybrid powertrains. Let’s take a deep dive into each one to see which is the perfect choice for you. 

 

2025 Toyota Highlander LE

First up is the base level LE trim. For a base trim, the LE offers some excellent features. You’ll get the 8-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen display with wireless smartphone connectivity. Other interior features include a six speaker audio system, three-zone automatic climate control, and three rows of seating for up to eight passengers. The LE offers the 2.4L 4-Cylinder turbo engine and an available all-wheel drive drivetrain. On the exterior, the Highlander LE comes in seven available color options, painted alloy wheels and the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ suite of safety features. 

 

2025 Toyota Highlander XLE

Next up is one of the best-selling trim levels on the 2025 Highlander, the XLE trim. The XLE offers many of the features that we’ve mentioned with the LE trim but with some premium upgrades. You’ll get the same powertrain which includes the 2.4L turbo engine and available all-wheel drive. On the interior, you’ll get the upgraded SofTex-trimmed seating with heated front seats. Other upgrades include machined-finish alloy wheels, a power tilt/slide moonroof and a Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charger.

 

2025 Toyota Highlander XSE

The next available trim level is the XSE which offers some key sporty performance and design upgrades. The powertrain includes the same 2.4L turbo engine but gets the upgraded Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive system. You’ll also get the Sport-tuned independent MacPherson strut front suspension and stabilizer bar with trailing wishbone suspension for improved handling. On the inside, you’ll get the choice between the SofTex seats or premium leather-trimmed seating. Some key upgrades on the exterior include 20-inch black alloy wheels, twin-tip exhaust, an aggressive mesh front grille with lower spoiler and LED lighting. This trim is perfect for those looking for added performance and a sporty look. 

 

2025 Toyota Highlander Limited

Next up is the Limited trim level which builds upon the XLE trim with added premium features. To start, you’ll get the upgraded 12.3-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen along with the 11-speaker JBL audio system. Some other interior upgrades include leather-trimmed seating with heated and ventilated front seats, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and driver’s seat memory function. On the exterior you’ll get chrome finished alloy wheels, silver-finish roof rails, heated power outside mirrors and LED lighting. 2025 Toyota Highlander Platinum

Next up is the Platinum trim level which offers the highest level of features available on the gasoline-powered drivetrain. You’ll get the 2.4L 4-Cylinder turbo engine with the Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive (AWD) drivetrain. Some key upgrades on the Platinum trim include a 10-inch color Head-Up Display (HUD), Panoramic View Monitor and backup camera with dynamic gridlines, and a panoramic glass roof with sunshade and front power tilt/slide moonroof. The 2025 Highlander Platinum offers the ultimate level of comfort. 

 

2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid XLE

Next, we’ll dive into the Hybrid trim levels starting with the XLE. The Hybrid XLE trim level offers the 2.5L Hybrid engine along with the electronic on-demand all-wheel drive system. On the interior, you’ll get the 8-inch Toyota Multimedia touchscreen with smartphone connectivity. 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid XLE Nightshade

Next up is the Hybrid XLE Nightshade trim level which is essentially an appearance package upgrade over the previously mentioned Hybrid XLE trim level. You’ll get many of the same features including the hybrid powertrain, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and LED lighting. Some key upgrades include 18-inch black painted alloy wheels, black exterior accents and black two-tone SofTex seating with unique embossed seat pattern and silver-colored contrast stitching. 

 

2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited

Next up is the Hybrid Limited trim level which builds up on the Hybrid XLE trim with added comfort and premium options. You’ll get the 2.5L hybrid engine with electronic on-demand all-wheel drive. On the interior, you’ll get the upgraded 12.3-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen along with the 11 speaker JBL audio system. Other upgrades include leather-trimmed seating, LED lighting, and heated and ventilated front seats. 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited 25th Edition

For the 2025 model year, the Highlander features a Hybrid Limited 25th Edition trim level. This trim level is comparable to the Highlander Limited trim with added 25th anniversary features. You’ll get the same hybrid engine and electronic all-wheel drive system. The final trim level on the 2025 Highlander is the Hybrid Platinum trim level. You’ll get the same 2.5L Hybrid engine with Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive system. On the interior, you’ll get a panoramic glass roof, 10-inch color Head-Up Display, and Panoramic View Monitor. You’ll also get leather-trimmed seating with heated and ventilated front seats and heated second row seats.
